The Glasgow Locum Group

Welcome to Glasgow Locum Group. This is a non-profit making group established to facilitate mutual support between freelance GPs in the west of Scotland. GLG has developed this website to improve communication between members and practices in the west of Scotland.

The group also provides an educational meeting once a month which is an ideal opportunity to meet with other freelance GPs and share ideas and experiences. We endeavour to answer any questions you may have at the meetings and give guidance to doctors just starting up as locums.

If you are interested in joining, either sign up on-line or come to one of the meetings and speak to any of the committee. The meetings are held on the third Thursday of every month* in the Glasgow LMC Building, 40 New City Rd, Glasgow, G4 9JT with a meal at 6.30pm and the educational session starting promptly at 7pm. Please note the conditions of membership.

When you are activated on the site you will receive a password to allow you to log in. This can then be changed to one you choose. Your password will give you access to your calendar which allows you to let practice managers know when you are available. Please keep this up to date. Also please note that each month should be saved before starting on any other month.i.e. two or more months cannot be saved together.

*No meeting in July. In December a social meeting will be held if there is sufficient demand.
